Arnold is the chairman of the COBRA Initiative, which was founded in March 2020. He is a director of a number of companies, including Arrowhead Properties Ltd and Kalon Venture Partners Ltd. Since the early 2000’s he has been practising as a Strategic Business Consultant, focusing on strategy and business development, mergers and acquisitions, and related activities.  These activities have been carried out in a diverse range of industries such as financial services, risk management, property development, manufacturing and distribution, and business re-engineering.

Prior to his current roles, Arnold was employed by the Fedsure Financial Services Group from the time he graduated from Wits University until the Group was merged with Investec in 2001. He was the Group Chief Executive from 1988-2001. During this time the Group became a leading participant in the financial services industry providing a wide range of insurance and investment products, and with business interests in South Africa, the United Kingdom and Australia. Between 1988 and 2001 the Group’s asset base grew by about 25% pa compound to R40 billion, and its share price grew by about 20% pa compound.

Arnold qualified with a BSc Degree (Maths, Math Stats) from Wits University (SA), as a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries (London) and as a Fellow of the Financial Planning Institute (SA). He has won a no of awards, including Insurance Man of the Year, IMM Marketing Man of the Year, Jewish Business Achiever and Lifetime Achiever, and WPO International Best of the Best Regional Chair.
